Synergize Group Fitness

Small group. Real coaching.
No judgment.

A private boutique gym in Kingston's east end. Five or six people, a certified coach, and an hour that changes your week.

Sound familiar?

If any of that landed, you're exactly who Synergize exists for. Not athletes. Not fitness influencers. Regular people who want to feel stronger, more capable, and more energized. With someone who knows how to get them there.

What it is

Functional strength and conditioning in a space built for real people

Synergize is a private boutique gym. Not a franchise, not a basement with a bench press. It's a fully equipped training space where small groups of five or six people work through coached sessions built around functional strength and conditioning.

Every session is adaptive, not prescriptive. I programme the workout; you do what you can. Nobody's watching the clock on your reps. Nobody cares what weight you're lifting. The only expectation is that you show up.

The groups are small enough that I can coach everyone individually within the session. Over time, these groups become more than training partners. They become people who hold each other accountable, celebrate each other's progress, and genuinely look forward to seeing each other.

The journey

What to expect as you train

01

The first few sessions

You'll probably discover you're stronger than you thought. The movements might be unfamiliar, but the coach is right there, cueing and adjusting in real time. Most people leave their first session surprised, both by what they could do and by how good it feels afterward.

02

Weeks two through four

The routine starts to feel like yours. You remember the movements. The weights go up, not because you're suddenly stronger, but because your technique is improving and your confidence is catching up with your ability. The post-session energy high becomes something you chase. And somewhere in here, quietly, something shifts: you start to feel capable. Not in a mirror-selfie way. In a "my body can actually do things" way. That's the beginning of a different relationship with the body you have.

03

Month two and beyond

Body composition starts to shift. Clothes fit differently. The weights you're lifting go up, and movements that felt impossible at first become part of your warm-up. The group dynamic has solidified. You have your people, and missing a session feels wrong.

Weightlifting is a sport for enthusiasts.
But lifting weights is for everyone.

You don't need to be fit to start. You need to start to get fit.

Scott Crawford

I started Synergize because I believe fitness shouldn't require bravery. Walking into a commercial gym cold is intimidating for most people, and it doesn't have to be the only option.

I'm a certified personal trainer and an ICF-credentialed coach. I've spent years studying how people change. Not just physically, but in every domain of their lives. I bring that understanding into every session.

I'm approaching 50. I understand what it means to train around injuries, responsibilities, and a body that doesn't recover like it used to. I train the way I coach my clients to train: consistently, intelligently, and with enough humility to know the difference between pushing through and being reckless.

From the group

I have enjoyed attended classes with Scott since March of 2022. Scott is very knowledgeable and offers modifications to exercises based on where you are physically and how you want to improve. I enjoy the small group sizes and I have met some great people. I highly recommend contacting Scott if you are interested in learning more about how you can make gains in terms of strength and confidence. I am approaching 50 and I feel healthier that I was 10 years ago.

This is the kind of exercise I can commit to without hesitation — it's easy going in nature (although the workout isn't easy!), making accountability part of your own inner working model rather than drill sergeant modality. The group dynamics are lovely, and the workout is over before you know it. Diversity in exercises and humor through it makes the perfect combo.

Training sessions with Scott are never the same. He makes it fun and adapts everything based on your abilities. I have been going since the end of June and I am very motivated to continue.
